PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image with custom color ink at a lower cost. SOLUTION: There are mounted in an inkjet image forming device custom color print head modules 28 and 30 each having a preparation reservoir 64, reception side dispensers 80 to 86 and a custom color print head 68. An ink flow of each color component coming through an ink channel from individual ink sources 50 to 60 is accepted in the reservoir 64 while being adjusted by dispensers 80 to 86, for example, valves, and the prepared custom color ink is sent to the head 68. The controller 70 operates the dispensers 80 to 86 so that a necessary amount of a necessary color component for preparing the custom color ink is supplied to the reservoir 64.
