CHARGING ROLL FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging roll for electrophotographic apparatus by which image failures can be suppressed. SOLUTION: A conductive foam layer 14 and a resistance adjusting layer 16 are laminated on the outer periphery of the shaft body 12 of the charging roll 10 for the electrophotographic apparatus. A low resistance layer 18 is disposed between the conductive foam layer 14 and the resistance adjusting layer 16 and at each axial end of the charging roll 10. The volume electric resistance value R1[Ωcm] of the conductive foam layer 14 and the volume electric resistance value R2[Ωcm] of the low resistance layer 18 are constituted so as to satisfy expressions of 0.01≤R2/R1≤0.9 and 1×104≤R1≤1×106.
