<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilting-trimming gear of an outboard motor capable of keeping hydraulic pressure applied on a trimming cylinder less than withstanding pressure and preventing deformation and damage of the trimming cylinder even when the outboard motor suddenly lowers from a tilting region and the hydraulic pressure of high pressure returns in a direction of the trimming cylinder from a tilting cylinder. <P>SOLUTION: This tilting-trimming gear of the outboard motor is furnished with the tilting cylinder 7 and the trimming cylinder 8 to raise and lower the outboard motor, a reserve tank 14, an oil passage 18a which communicates the tilt cylinder 7 and the a reserve tank 14, and a branching oil passage 18c which is branched from the oil passage 18a and which communicates with the trimming cylinder 8, and is further furnished with at least one hydraulic pressure adjustment mechanism 25 to make the hydraulic pressure applied on the trimming cylinder 8 through the branching oil passage 18c less than the withstanding pressure of the trimming cylinder 8 when the outboard motor moves to lower from the tilting region to move to elevate only by the tilting cylinder 7 forcibly by external force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
