<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trickle type developing device using two-component developer, which prevents developer from being excessively discharged with simple constitution when the developing device is tilted, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device is equipped with: a stirring member for conveying and stirring developer in a developing tank; and a developer carrier; and is further equipped with a developer replenishing tank for replenishing the developing tank with developer for replenishment; and a discharging mechanism which, when the amount of the developer in the developing tank exceeds the predetermined amount, discharges the toner in the developing tank exceeding a predetermined amount from an aperture part for discharge to the outside of the developing tank. The discharging mechanism is equipped with a tilt-state discharge regulation body for regulating discharge of the developer in the developing tank, by being elastically deformed to narrow the aperture part for discharge when the developing device is tilted for facilitating discharge of the developer in the developing tank. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
