REMOTE CONTROL APPARATUS AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE USING ELECTROSTATIC SENSOR, AND CONTROL METHOD OF SWITCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in power consumption when using an electrostatic sensor, or to prevent erroneous input.

SOLUTION: A remote controller 100 includes at least one input switch 12 and transmits to a target a signal based on a state of the input switch 12. A main electrode pair Cm is provided as the input switch 12 and is configured to vary an inter-electrode distance in accordance with pressing. Sub electrode pairs Cs1-Cs3 are provided at positions different from the main electrode pair Cm and configured to vary the inter-electrode distance in accordance with pressing. A signal processing section monitors capacitance values of the main electrode pair Cm and the sub electrode pairs Cs1-Cs3 and performs predetermined signal processing in accordance with detected capacitance values. A transmitter transmits to the target a control signal corresponding to the capacitance value of the main electrode pair Cm.
