PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporative humidifier capable of accurately controlling humidity without unnecessarily operating a humidifying means and wasting energy. SOLUTION: This evaporative humidifier 10 comprises a humidification flow channel 12 for air humidified by the humidifying means 24, and a non-humidification flow channel 28 for the non-humidified air branched from the humidification flow channel 12. The air flowing in the non-humidification flow channel 28 is mixed with air flowing in the humidification flow channel 12, and the mixing amount is controlled by proportionally controlling openings of dampers 18, 34 by an indicator controller 42 on the basis of a dew point detected by a dew-point meter 26 to obtain the air of desired humidification.
