PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a protruding portion of a nozzle plate which is easily manufactured and easily repaired even if there is a damage due to paper jamming or the like. SOLUTION: The convexed portion structure by a cured resin 30 is formed by carrying out: a partially lyophilic step for making a part of a liquid repellent film 14 arranged in a discharge side surface of a substrate 10 where a nozzle 12 is formed lyophilic and forming liquid repellent portions and a lyophilic portions 16 17 in the discharge side surface of the substrate; a resin feeding step for feeding the curable resin 30 to the lyophilic portions 16, 17; and a curing step for curing the fed resin 30. A step for removing or modifying a part of the liquid repellent film can be employed as the partial lyophilic step. It is preferable to use a photocurable resin as the resin 30. The liquid removability in wiping is enhanced by the broken line like convexed structure. In a preferred embodiment, a liquid repellent film is additionally formed on the resin 30.
