PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slip stopper for a necklace can easily give a slip stopping effect at a low cost even for an existing necklace. SOLUTION: The slip stopper (10) for the necklace is provided which has a hemispherical body (12) made of a silicone resin and keeps a groove (14) extending in the orthogonal direction for passing the chain of the necklace to be worn cut in the face of the spherical side of the body. It is preferred that the width of the groove of the body is chosen to be the same as or slightly smaller than the width of the chain to be passed so that the chain hardly comes off from the chain.
