The injector has a nozzle chamber (8) communicated with a high pressure chamber (4) and arranged in a nozzle body (9). The nozzle chamber is connected with an associated combustion chamber by nozzles (10) for fuel injection, where the nozzles are controlled by a nozzle needle (11). A nozzle-sided part of the nozzle needle with an extension (11') is axially, displaceably guided into a recess or hole on the nozzle body, where the recess or hole communicates with the combustion chamber. The recess or hole is arranged in a flow direction of a fuel into the nozzle chamber below a seat (13).
