A method, a system, a subsystem and a mobile terminal for establishing connection for a packet data service are provided to enable a terminal to a supportable data access method by informing through a terminal which data connection method can be supported. A data access management subsystem(100) includes a supportable data access method identifier to an overhead message, and the subsystem transmits the overhead message to a terminal(20). The subsystem receives an access request message including determined service option information, and performs the data access through the linkage with terminal. A data network(200) provides the data service to the terminal.
