<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the detection of an electrical tree produced by the partial discharge of an epoxy insulating part of epoxy-insulated electrical equipment at low cost, and to facilitate utilization of a steady measurement and monitoring system. <P>SOLUTION: An antenna 30, arranged near the epoxy-insulated electric equipment 20a housed in the metallic box body 11 of a cubicle 10, is connected to a sensor body 40 installed outside the box body 11 by a coaxial cable 50. The presence or absence of electrical tree generation, and the status of electrical tree development are detected by detecting electromagnetic waves radiated by the partial discharging of the epoxy insulating part 21 of the electrical equipment 20a with the antenna 30, and by verifying the magnitude of antenna received voltage, in specific frequency components of 150-400 MHz within the detected electromagnetic waves with the sensor body 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
