PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display relevant information related to moving image content without imposing any troublesome operation on a viewer.

SOLUTION: A content reproducing unit 1 reproduces moving image content in which character information (subtitles) and an image are related to each other through reproduction time, to display the character information and the image on a display. The content reproducing unit 1 has: a keyword extraction section 17 for extracting a prescribed keyword from the character information; a relevant information acquisition section 19 for acquiring relevant information related to the moving image content, based on the extracted keyword; and a relevant information display section 14 for displaying the obtained relevant information on the display 10.
