RADIO ACCESS BEARER MANAGER (RABM) AND ARCHITECTURE FOR MOUNTING PACKET DATA CONVERGENCE PROTOCOL (PDCP) PROCESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which is used in a wireless transmitting/receiving unit (WTRU10) and WTRU used to control a wireless communication packet switched (PS) data flow on a plurality of radio access bearer (RABs) between a radio link controller (RIC18) and an internet protocol relays (IPR16, 26). SOLUTION: A combined radio access bearer manager/packet data convergence protocol (RABM/PDCP12) component provides an interface control of session manager (SM14) and radio resource center (RRC17) so that the processing of PS data and control of each RAB is related to the processing of PS data and control of single radio bearer (RB).
