SOLUTION: In an air conditioner ECU, a humidity sensor detects humidity Hr in the cabin during a heating operation (especially in warming up), an inside air introducing mode is set and a compressor is stopped when the detected humidity is a reference humidity Hs<SB>3</SB>or below, and an inside/outside air two-layer mode is set and the compressor is stopped when the detected humidity exceeds the reference humidity Hs<SB>3</SB>and is a reference humidity Hs<SB>2</SB>or below (steps 110 to 122). An outside air introducing mode is set and also the compressor is stopped when the humidity exceeds the reference humidity Hs<SB>2</SB>and is a reference humidity Hs<SB>1</SB>or below, and the outside air introducing mode is set and the compressor is driven when the humidity exceeds the reference humidity Hs<SB>1</SB>(steps 120, 124, 126, 108).
