PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately record a captured image of an object that cannot comprehend an instruction from a photographer. SOLUTION: A voice storage unit 160 stores voice information on dogs and cats. For example, in the case where a designation operation designating a dog stored in the voice storage unit 160 is accepted by an operation input unit 170 and a designated object automatic photographing mode is being set, when a side face of the designated dog is detected by an object detection unit 230, a system control unit 120 outputs, from a voice output unit 190, voice information (bowwow) being stored in the voice storage unit 160 in association with the dog whose side face is detected. Furthermore, when the front of the designated dog is detected by the object detection unit 230, the system control unit 120 output, from the voice output unit 190, voice information (bowwow) being stored in the voice storage unit 160 in association with the dog whose front is detected, and records a captured image in a recording unit 150.
