PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking assist system capable of moving a vehicle along the optimum path even by a driver with insufficient driving skill and guiding the vehicle to the target parking position. SOLUTION: Images picked up by cameras 12, 13 mounted on a vehicle B are displayed on a monitor 10, and when the vehicle is moved to the target parking position set by a target parking position setting means 24, the image of the recommended position, the image of the reaching position, and operational information of a steering wheel are displayed on the monitor 10 by a guidance information output means 29. By operating the steering wheel based on the display, the result of operation is reflected in the image of the reaching position of the monitor 10, and the vehicle can be guided to the target parking position.
