PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience of a user when providing guidance information in a map display technique. SOLUTION: A guidance server includes data representing a map image to be transmitted to a mobile terminal (map image data), regional information on a region prescribed in the map image, and ground object data on shops and tourist spots existing in each region. The guidance server transmits the map data of the present position of the mobile terminal in accordance with the positional information of the mobile terminal and transmits information on shops and tourist spots existing in the region in which the present position of the mobile terminal is included to the mobile terminal regardless of the presence or absence of a request from the mobile terminal.
