PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which changes an amount of blur and varies a depth of field spuriously in response to the focal length and zoom position of a zoom lens, and the expansion power and pseudo focal length of a digital zoom, thereby obtaining such a telescopic effect as in a silver camera, or obtaining a photographing effect not attained by the silver camera. SOLUTION: The imaging device has: a zoom lens; a zoom control part; an imaging part; and a taken image separating part, and the taken subject image is separated to a principal subject and the other areas. Concerning the separated areas other than the principal subject, the amount of blur is changed in response to the focal length or zoom position of the zoom lens, thereby the telescopic effect is enhanced or the photographing effect not implemented by the silver camera is added thereto. Further, in the case of a structure not containing the zoom lend but having a digital zoom function, the amount of blur is changed in response to the expansion power or pseudo focal length of the digital zoom, to obtain the same effect.
