PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially stretched polyester film capable of satisfying high level formability, heat resistance and transfer aptitude when used as a base material for in-mold transfer. SOLUTION: The film contains one or more kinds of copolymer constituents in addition to main structural constituents and has a structure of laminating a polyester A layer having 200-255°C melting point (TmA) at least on one surface of a polyester B layer having 180-230°C melting point (TmB), wherein the difference (TmA-TmB) of the melting point of the respective layers is≥5°C, the storage elastic modulus of the film is 400-1,800 MPa at 80°C and 10-60 MPa at 160°C and the film has a coating layer at least on one side surface.
