An apparatus and a method for preparing a siliceous molten material in a cupola furnace are provided for use in producing light yellow mineral wool fibers in cupola furnace. An apparatus for preparing a siliceous molten material in a cupola furnace comprises the following units. Two or more kinds of briquettes(8,9,10) are prepared as raw materials and Al2O3 components of the briquettes serve as a supporting structure for a fusing process. A plurality of high-temperature gas burners(6) are prepared to fuse the raw materials. The arrangement of the gas burners helps to strengthen the flame of the gas burners. A collecting pan(2) gets wider from a lid(15) of a shaft(11) to a floor(1).
