<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform bidirectional communication in real time by message between information terminal equipment and an image forming apparatus in different networks, to carry out a function by a command from the information terminal equipment, and to exchange presence information between the image forming apparatus and the information terminal equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 3 includes a message processing section 4 which receives a message from the information terminal equipment 2 connected to a network, a message recognizing section 5 which discriminates contents of the message, and a function calling section 6 which, on the basis of the contents of discriminated message, calls a specific function among the functions possessed by the image forming apparatus 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
