<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration maintaining an image quality properly by preventing an operation when the image quality is decreased while restricting a calibration by a user's requirement. <P>SOLUTION: An image formation system determines whether an execution limitation mode is established when the number of printed sheets (amount of operation) from the former engine calibration reaches the number of printed sheets corresponding to the second threshold value (corresponding to the low threshold value)(S320). When the execution limitation mode is not established, the engine calibration is executed and the result is memorized by memory means (S340 and S350). When the number of the printed sheets (amount of operation) from the formerly conducted engine calibration exceeds the number of printed sheets corresponding to the third threshold value (corresponding to the high threshold value), the restriction is released even when the execution limitation mode has been established, and the engine calibration is executed in the next automatic calibration processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
