PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overlay a traffic congestion situation of road links from a desired start point as the origin to each point reachable within a desired time range on a map image and display them. SOLUTION: This map display system 10 sets a start point and start date and displays, on a displaying means 25, together with a map image, the information on predicted traffic congestion of the circumference from the start point at a predicted arrival time until a lapse of a desired T time. When the predicted traffic congestion map is displayed, a route searching means 39 reflects the data of the prediction traffic congestion at a set date on network data for route search, searches for an arrival area until a lapse of the T time, refers to the predicted traffic congestion data stored in a road traffic information database 36 based on each link included in the reaching area obtained from the search result of the reaching area and the reach time to each link, acquires the predicted traffic congestion data of the time zone to which the arrival time to each link belongs, and displays information on the predicted traffic congestion together with the map image on the displaying means 25.
