PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of surely and stably feeding sheets separately one by one according to the kind, size and the amount of paper even in a high humidity environment. SOLUTION: This paper feeding device includes a paper housing part for housing a paper, an air paper separation means for blowing air onto an end face of the paper housed in the paper housing part and separating the papers one by one while feeding the papers, a paper feeding means for feeding the papers one by one from the paper housing part, and a control means for controlling an air volume of the air paper separation means. The paper kind, in which the air volume is controlled according to a change of the humidity, and other paper kinds, in which the air volume is not controlled, are set, and the control means controls the air volume according to the change of humidity based on the setting, when the controlled paper kind is selected.
