<p>The method involves storing quantity of ingredient on an information carrier e.g. food package or a separate food ration card (10) in form of a label and/or a barcode and/or a microchip. The ingredient quantity is balanced with required value of food portions to be consumed or consumed per meal or consumed daily after conversion or graphical representation such that a level of right or false food intake is estimated or the level is combined together with the food portions still to be consumed corresponding to the requirement. The information carrier is read using a radio frequency identification (RFID)-process. An independent claim is also included for a device for performing diet analysis for persons e.g. customer and patient, and for determining individual need for nourishing and active component intake.</p>
