The aligning solution applied on anilox roll using a doctor roll, is transferred to transfer film including convex portion with different sized halftone dots (120a,120b) attached on a printing roll, while moving the printing table mounted with a substrate and rotating the printing roll. The aligning solution is coated on the substrate, to form alignment layer having thickness between 700-1100 Å. An independent claim is also included for transfer film to be dispersed on printing roll for transferring an alignment solution to substrate for forming alignment film of LCD device.
