The arrangement (1) has an evaluation and control unit (5) for testing plug-in connection between a plug-in connection model (12) and a connecting cable (11), where the arrangement is vertically adjustable. The evaluation and control unit displays a corresponding testing result via an output unit (22) i.e. optical display unit. An output element of the output unit is associated with the connection. The evaluation and control unit indicates positive and negative testing results for the connection by activating respective output elements with respective colors. An independent claim is also included for a method for practical establishment of plug-in connection between a plug-in connection model and a connecting cable.
