<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device capable of detecting only a long edge area which is not a texture area. <P>SOLUTION: In an arrangement part, each of pixel values of a template block containing a determination pixel is calculated for the determination pixel to be sequentially set up within an image, and a plurality of reference blocks are arranged so that the template block is surrounded. Block matching errors between the respective pixel values of the plurality of reference blocks and the respective pixel values of the template block are obtained, respectively. When the minimum value among the block matching errors is a deviation value in the whole of the plurality of block matching errors, the determination pixel is determined to exist in the edge area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
