<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device allowing for clearly viewing a lighting state even when observing to look up the housing attached, for example, on a ceiling from any position in a lower section; and to provide a lighting device allowing for clearly viewing a lighting state even when observing to look up the housing attached, for example, on a ceiling from any position in a lower section and also even if the smoke or fog, etc., exists near the ceiling. <P>SOLUTION: A lighting device includes: a housing with an attachment face and a plain face formed on the opposite side of the attachment face; a light emission unit installed in the housing; a light collection unit collecting light emitted from the light emission unit; and a light radiation unit being protruded from the plain face and radiating the light collected by the collection unit.
