<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display system and an image display, which readily perform display setting change caused by a change in the combination of an image supply device and the image display. <P>SOLUTION: The display system 1 includes the image supply device (PC) 2 supplying image information and the image display (projector) 3 displaying an image corresponding to the image information. The image supply device 2 being one of the image supply device 2 and the image device 3 includes: an identification information obtaining means 24 for obtaining intrinsic identification information set to the other; a storage means 23 for storing the identification information and setting information related to the display setting of the image in the image device 3 in association with each other; and a setting information selection means 26 for selecting the setting information corresponding to the obtained identification information.
