<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a check valve of a fuel supply pump with excellent durability. <P>SOLUTION: The check valve 7 of the fuel supply pump is used in the fuel supply pump 1, which is arranged between a fuel tank and an internal combustion engine, and is provided with a pressurizing chamber 32 for sucking and pressure-feeding fuel by reciprocation of a movable member 35 with drive force of the internal combustion engine. The check valve includes a valve member 71 having an annular groove part 73 and intermitting the fuel sucked to the pressurizing chamber, an energizing member 77 for energizing the valve member in a valve closing direction, and a locking member 78, which has a fitting inner circumference part 78a fitted to an opposite member, and locks the energizing member when the fitting inner circumference part is mounted on the groove of the valve member. A diameter reduced part 73 cc of which a diameter is reduced in an axial direction of the valve member is formed on at least one sidewall 73c out of sidewalls 73b, 73c of the groove part 73 of the valve member 71. An inner circumference part of the diameter reduced part 73 cc is positioned on an inner circumference side from the fitting inner circumference part 78a of the locking member 78. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
