<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for selectively efficiently isolating only a target nucleic acid from the whole genome. <P>SOLUTION: The method for selectively isolating a target nucleic acid includes the following process: A nucleic acid assembly comprising a target nucleic acid and nontarget nucleic acids is reacted on a probe complementary to the nontarget nucleic acids to form a probe-nontarget nucleic acids conjugate and the target nucleic acid is isolated from the nucleic acid assembly. In this method, the probe is such that, a probe is prepared to capture the target nucleic acid, and a conjugate of this probe and the target nucleic acid is formed in a form-making nucleic acid assembly, and only the nontarget nucleic acids are isolated from the above assembly containing the target nucleic acid, thus serving this probe as the probe complementary to the nontarget nucleic acids. By applying the probe complementary to the nontarget nucleic acids to the nucleic acid assembly as a specimen, the target nucleic acid is selectively isolated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
