<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-ligation type orthodontic bracket overcoming the defect of a conventional technique using a spring force. <P>SOLUTION: The self-ligation type orthodontic bracket (10) is designed to connect an archwire to teeth and has a ligation sliding member (16) and a bracket body (12) having an archwire slot (38) and a pair of facing guides (40 and 42). The facing guides guide the movement of the ligation sliding member between an opened position and a blocked position, furthermore, at least one of the facing guides has the bracket body having a concavity and an elastic engagement member (90) capable of restraining the movement of the ligation sliding member with respect to the bracket body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
