OPTICAL CONNECTOR END MACHINING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector end machining device, simply and accurately performing machining.

SOLUTION: The shape of a holding part 7 is determined so that the center of rotation of the holding part 7 is different from the center of a ferrule. Therefore, a locus of the optical connector 1 (the ferrule 3) on a polishing platen 9 is as shown in Fig.3(c). Since the optical fiber 2 is machined by the polishing platen 9 while taking the locus, finally the optical fiber 2 is not projected from the ferrule 3.
