PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector in which each of two mating connectors of different types can be inserted simply and easily. SOLUTION: A partition wall 101 which partitions into two apertures AP1, AP2 in lateral row for receiving mating connectors is formed in a shell 10 to cover the outer circumference of a housing 110. The partition wall 101 of the shell 10 is fabricated by double-folding right and left a part of the plate material forming the shell so as to form a curvature 101a which is curved facing the mating connector side. The curvature is functioned as a guide when inserting a mating connector based on USB 2.0 standard and a mating connector which has an additional new connector in addition to the connector based on the USB 2.0 standard.
