The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus for receiving a broadcasting signal. The method may include receiving a broadcasting signal in accordance with a digital video broadcasting (DVB) system, demodulating (Sl 10) the received broadcasting signal and obtaining (Sl 15) an identifier for identifying at least one of a DVB-handheld (H) broadcasting signal and a DVB -terrestrial (T) broadcasting signal from transmission parameter signaling (TPS) of the demodulated broadcasting signal, and displaying (150) one of the DVB-H broadcasting signal and the DVB-T broadcasting signal using the identifier.
