PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously monitor biological information of a patient by a bed side monitor in charge of the patient in a hospital ward when the patient is on the move or moves to an operating room or to an examination room by relating the bed side monitor to the specific patient. SOLUTION: A biological information acquisition and display device includes an acquisition part 44 for acquiring biological signals, a display part 42, a retaining means 21 for retaining a patient ID of the intended patient by the device, a transmitting and receiving part 43 for transmitting and receiving data through a network 11, and a search means 23 which searches the other device acquiring biological signals from the patient having the patient ID kept in the retaining means 21 through the network 11 when a detecting means 22 which detects input of an unmeasurable state in which the biological signal is not acquired from the acquisition part 44 or of temporary leaving from a bed detects the input of the unmeasurable state or the temporary leaving from a bed. The biological information acquisition and display device receives the biological signal acquired by the other device searched by the search means 23 and displays signal waveforms from the biological signals on the display part 42.
