A method and an apparatus of transmitting a data packet in a wireless multi-hop network in consideration with a hop count, and a wireless multi-hop network system are provided to reduce link failure probability by increasing the distance between nodes. Hop counters are obtained according to active connections(S210-S230), and the generated send queue is selected according to a certain criterion(S240,S250). The packet burst transmission for the selected send queue is performed(S260). The send queue is generated according the active connections, and a CQI(Channel Quality Indicator) is generated by estimating the channel quality.
