DC/AC INVERTER FOR A VEHICLE AND THE METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

An inverter for vehicles and a control method thereof are provided to prevent damage to an inverter due to overvoltage by arranging a fuse between an inverter relay and a battery power source. A push button switch(6) is electrically connected to a battery(1) through an ignition switch(3). The push button switch is operated by user. An inverter relay(7) is electrically connected to the battery through the push button switch. A control part(100) receives a power source from the battery through the inverter relay. The control part controls an operation of the inverter relay based on an operation of the push button switch. A PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) driving part(200) generates a PWM signal according to a control signal of the control part, and controls an inverter switching device.
