<p>A method for blocking the edge port in the Ethernet, an Ethernet loop network system and an apparatus are provided, which belong to the communication field. The method includes the following steps: the number of the edge ports is checked after the main ring fault notification message sent from the auxiliary edge node is received by an edge node; the edge port is not blocked, when the number of edge port is one; one edge port is selected from the multiple edge ports to avoid being blocked and to block non chosen edge ports, when the number of the edge port is multiple. The system includes the edge nodes and the auxiliary edge nodes. The apparatus includes: a main ring fault checking module and an edge port blocking module. The method ensures the normal transmission of a service and prevents a broadcast loop by blocking other edge ports without blocking one edge port, when multi point faults are located at the main ring.</p> |
