A washing machine is provided to suppress the breakdown of a top cover or lid by reducing the impact force applied to the top cover or the lid and increasing the elastic force of a hinge member. A washing machine comprises a top cover, a lid, and a hinge member(300). The top cover has an opening part. The lid is combined with the hinge member at the top cover. The lid opens and closes the opening part. The hinge member comprises a combining part(310) and a hinge part(320). The combining part is formed to be plate-like in order to be combined with the lid. The hinge part is formed into a cylinder shape in order to be combined with the top cover and the hinge member. A slot(321) is formed at the hinge part in order to increase the elasticity.
