A method for diagnosing and screening cancer by measuring the concentration of des-R prothrombin activation peptide fragment F2 (des-R F2) in serum is provided to reduce the expression of marker in body fluid of patient which suppers from cancer, breast cancer and gastric cancer. A marker for diagnosing and screening cancer comprises des-R prothrombin activation peptide fragment F2 (des-R F2). The cancer is liver cancer, breast cancer or gastric cancer. A method for screening and diagnosing cancer comprises: a step of measuring the expression of the des-R F2 from a sample; and a step of screening individual whose expression is reduced.
