PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator for reducing a useless time in switching a moving direction when a fine region is moved. SOLUTION: The actuator includes: a moving body 2; a metal body 41 having a positive thermal expansion coefficient and attached on the moving body 2; a metal body 42 having a negative thermal expansion coefficient; a heat generating body for causing the metal bodies to generate heat; and inertia bodies 31, 32 for giving impact force to the moving body 2 by expansion caused by heating each of the metal bodies, wherein the direction in which the metal body 41 having a positive thermal expansion coefficient moves when heated and the metal body 42 having a negative thermal expansion coefficient are arranged in parallel to each other.
