PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which includes a positive-hole injection layer obtained by forming a film of a polymer positive-hole transport material by a wet method and a light-emitting layer obtained by forming a film of a low-molecular light-emitting material by a wet method, and is improved in driving voltage. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element includes an anode, a cathode, and a positive-hole injection layer, a positive-hole transport layer, and a light-emitting layer, interposed between the anode and the cathode, in this order, wherein the positive-hole injection layer is a layer obtained by forming a film of a polymer positive-hole transport material by a wet method, the positive-hole transport layer is a layer formed by crosslinking a crosslinkable compound, and the light-emitting layer is obtained by forming the film of the low-molecular light-emitting material by a wet method.
