<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which widens an installation flexibility without being influenced by a surrounding environment. <P>SOLUTION: The printer has a paper storing part 10 which stores paper 2 inside a printer body 1, and carries out printing on the paper surface by delivering out the paper 2. The paper storing part 10 of the printer body 1 is opened at least in two directions, enabling the paper 2 to be freely inserted from any of the openings 1a and 1b into the paper storing part 10.
