PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: the width in the paper feed direction of a multi-array head is large to lower the accuracy of a strike position. SOLUTION: A head module 51 in which a plurality of heads 101 discharging liquid droplets are lined up on a base member 102 is provided. With regard to the base member 102 of the head module 51, the cross-sectional shape perpendicular to the head arrangement direction is a L-shaped member. A plurality of heads 102 are arranged on the first horizontal surface 111 of the base member 102. Divergence members 104 which form a common channel distributing ink to a plurality of the heads 101 are arranged in the head arrangement direction on the heads 101. The end 111a on the side not connected to the second surface 112 of the first surface 111 of the base member 102 protrudes from at least one end of the divergence member 104.
