PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a candleholder for preventing heat of a candle from being transmitted to the outside, having a plate body easily heated and cooled immediately after use of wax due to burning out, and for preventing molten wax from leaking from the plate body. SOLUTION: This candleholder includes: the plate body 1; a core part 2 erected upward nearly in the vertical direction from the plate body 1; a base 6 supporting the plate body 1. In the candleholder, the plate body 1 is formed of a metal, and the base 6 is formed of ceramics having heat conductivity lower than that of the metal constituting the plate body 1, and the heat of the candle is hardly transmitted to the outside from the plate body 1. By setting the thickness of the bottom surface part 5 of the plate body 1 to 0.5-1.5 mm, thermal capacity of the plate body 1 is reduced, the wax is easily burnt out, and the plate body is cooled immediately after usage. The candleholder is structured such that the core part 2 is inserted into an insertion hole 3 formed on the plate body 1, and a mound part 4 is formed upward nearly in the vertical direction around the insertion hole 3, whereby the molten wax is blocked by the mound part 4 and prevented from leaking from the plate body 1.
