PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a desired output by securing an amount of change of resistance value accompanying the inclination of an operating member. SOLUTION: The multidirectional input device 1 is provided with an operating member (operating shaft 7, drive plate 8) in which a pressing portion 83 is installed, a housing (case 2, installation member) which supports the operating member capable of inclining in multi-directions with a part of the operating member exposed, a return spring 6 which is installed in the housing and returns the operating member to the initial position, a fixed contact in which a plurality of pair of contacts are arranged with a prescribed interval on the inner bottom face of the housing, and a pressure sensitive conductive rubber 5 which is arranged opposed to the fixed contact, and presses the pressure sensitive conductive rubber 5 by the pressing portion 83 accompanying inclination of the operating member, and changes the resistance value between the pair of contacts of the fixed contact. The return spring 6 is arranged between the pressure sensitive conductive rubber 5 and the operating member, and energizes the operating member so as to be separated from the pressure sensitive conductive rubber 5.
