PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape reel capable of suppressing relative positional shifting between a tape and a magnetic heat caused by the contact of the tape with a flange, a tape cartridge, and a tape drive system. SOLUTION: The tape reel 23 includes a lower flange 45 constituted of the injection mold of a synthetic resin material containing a filler and formed integrally with the lower end of a reel hub 51, and an upper flange 44 constituted of the injection mold of a synthetic resin material containing no filler and joined to the upper end of the reel hub 51, its surface facing the lower flange 45 being a granulated surface. Thus, the upper and lower inner surfaces 44a and 45a are formed by granulated surfaces, and hence fluctuation in tape traveling speed or tape traveling positional shifting caused by contact friction between the tape reel and the tape can be suppressed.
