PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector that sucks dust-free cooling air even when the pressure of the inside of an outer housing becomes negative, maintains smooth flow of the cooling air, and facilitates maintenance. SOLUTION: The projector has: suction fans 42 and 43 that suck outside air into the outer housing; and an exhaust fan for exhausting air in the outer housing. The projector includes: a fan mounting plate 41 on which the suction fans 42 and 43 are mounted; and an air filter 46 mounted to the fan mounting plate 41 close to a side opposite to the suction fans 42 and 43. The fan mounting plate 41 is provided with: openings 411 and 412 through which air sucked in by the suction fans 42 and 43 flows; and a plurality of communicating parts 419 connecting the inside and outside of the outer housing around the openings 411 and 412. The air filter 46 has such a size as to cover both the openings 411 and 412 and communicating parts 419 of the fan mounting plate 41. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
